Let’s be honest! It’s town day! Even with the beautiful scenery around me the driving force is to reach town today!
As early as possible – to get a Burger or Pizza or something that just doesn’t come out of my backpack!
I hike with Cristine, the NZ women and we make fast progress.
The Nordkalottleden leads back into norway for just a few kilometers and then back imto Finnland.
On the way we spot a lonely reindeer!
At the tourist information in Kilpisjärvi we get all the information we need and decide to have a reindeer burger at the losal pub!
We just inhaled it! There was some free juice too!
Since tenting is super expensive (20Eur) and a tiny little mini hut is also for rent (20€ after some negotiation) I decide to stay in the hut.
I recharge all electronics and my own batteries as well. Some rest does me good!
The local supermarket is frequently used by norwegians and tourists so prices are reasonable and the selection is great.
Back at my tiny hut I spot a friendly reindeir that passes by!
All the town food (pudding, pizza, chips…) fill me up in no time and i fall asleep conpletly full and happy!
