After waking up in Oslo airport quite early I give away my check in baggage as “oversize”. Apparently they are too light and small for the normal baggage counter.
Then i wander arround the airport until my flight to Alta departs.
The airport in Alta is small and I am quickly through customs. In front of the aurport goes a bus, which brings me to the center for ~50NOK.
There I find a tourist information, a mall and a construction shop, where I find the last missing pieces (toilet paper, stove spirit, insect repellent and information about how to get to Kautokeino.
Right after I fixed all that the bus number 60 takes me for 150NOK (student discount) to Kautokeino. In the bus I meet two norwegians, who will also hike parts of the Nordkalottleden. They didn’t find spirit in Alta so I offer them half of mine… Would not need a whole liter anyways. For exchange they offer me a Norwegian bun.
The ride to kautokeino is bumpy but scenic!
I get dropped off in front of the Arctic Motel/Campground where I will spend the night!
They have a great warm shower and I am able to recharge all my electronics and my own batteries while watching brasil being kicked out of the worldcup.
Except of that Norway is greeting me with rainy weather and heaps of anoying mossys…
