First we follow the gravel road up to tuxer hoch house to follow then another road down to a lift, which you could use to skip the hike up.
After a while we turn right into a path which connects us to a other gravel road leading up to the closed Spannagel house. The path till there is easy to hike but it just takes a while to climb up to 2500m.
From there the path becomes technically harder and we ascend through high mountain terrain and occasional snow fields to the peak of the Friesenbergscharte.
From there we descend to olpererhut.
Have lunch. Hear the weather forecast and decide to leave this valley since it’s said to become stormy here the next days.
After two really small creek crossings and a bit of rain we cross the Italian boarder.
Just behind this boarder is the pfitscher joch house. We decide to stay the night in there and not to camp since we are still above 2000m And it’s supposed to rain with heavy winds during the night.
It was definitely the right decission considering the weather I am just witnessing through the window after a long and warm shower
